Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account and use the service, including: your email address and account credentials (handled via Supabase Auth); subscription and billing metadata via Stripe (we never store full card numbers); your email preference settings; the picks you tail and your usage activity within the App; session and device fingerprint data used solely to detect concurrent account use and enforce our account-sharing rules — specifically, we store a session identifier and a device identifier (the active_session_fp mechanism) so we can detect simultaneous use of the same account on multiple devices; identifiers stored in your browser's localStorage (such as a device id and your followed-platforms state used for the FOLLOW15 unlock); and basic analytics events such as page views and feature usage.
2. How We Use It
We use this information to provide and maintain the service; to process payments and manage subscriptions; to send transactional emails and, where you have opted in, optional product emails (you can manage these from your Account email preferences); to enforce concurrent-session and account-sharing limits; to improve the product and the underlying model; and to comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the service — including payment processing (Stripe), hosting and database infrastructure (our cloud backend), email delivery (Resend), and analytics — each of which is contractually bound to use data only on our behalf. We also disclose information where required by law or valid legal process. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party ad targeting.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and row-level security (RLS) on our database, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time; see Your Rights below.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information, including rights under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. To exercise these rights, email support@linegrade.app. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law (and in any event within 30 days).
7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and we store certain values in your browser's localStorage — including a device identifier used for our anti-sharing controls, your session identifier, and your product preferences (such as which social platforms you've followed for the FOLLOW15 unlock). With your consent (via the cookie banner), we also use basic analytics cookies to understand how the service is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Age Policy
LineGrade is intended for users aged 21 and older. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (per COPPA). More broadly, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, which is our intended audience. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
LineGrade may link to third-party websites and services, including sportsbooks, pick'em apps, prediction markets, and data providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
